Tia Graham was born and raised on the westside of Detroit. She is a graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in broadcast Journalism. Tia had the opportunity to cover former President Obama’s trip to Lansing in 2014. As well, She has interned with Fox 47 in Lansing, Fox 2 News in Detroit, Detroit Public Television and 101.9 WDET. Tia has worked behind the scenes in production with DPTV, including camera operating for American Black Journal and various productions. Tia began her radio career in 2017 as a traffic reporter with WWJ Newsradio 950, and in 2019 became the Weekend Edition host and part-time fill-in host here with WDET. Tia was promoted to host and producer of CultureShift, WDET's daily arts and culture show. She looks forward to keeping the community up to date with all things arts, music and culture.
